Safe Sitter Course

Safe Sitter Babysitting Essentials + CPR is the ultimate confidence builder for young teens in grades 6-8. It teaches essential life skills and safety behaviors including, how to handle situations that may occur, seek help when needed, how to care for different age children, how to entertain children, basic first aid, and more.

The course is instructor led and interactive with hands-on demonstrations and skills practice using dolls and medical manikins.

Upcoming classes:

All classes take place from 9am-3:45pm at the Linda Kerley Center. 

Fee is $135 and includes course books and CPR certification card, if earned. Students need to bring a lunch, drink, doll and blanket. Registration is now open online.

Adult CPR & AED Usage Class

This course will offer instruction in Adult CPR along with AED usage, drug overdose procedure, and choking. Course is 3 hours. Limited to 12 participants. Register online by October 8, 2025 for materials to be ordered.

  • Session date: October 16, 2025 (Thursday)
  • Class time: 9 a.m. - 12 noon
  • Location: Linda Kerley Center (175 Poplar Ave)
  • Class fee: $70.00, plus book fee of $5 payable to Instructor on class day (correct change please)
  • Instruction provided by 901 Vital Training LLC

Camp Smile

Camp Smile is a unique experience designed to meet the needs of exceptional individuals, ages 6 and older, with mild to moderate physical, developmental, or learning disabilities. Campers participate in a variety of activities, such as, arts and crafts, music, sports and fitness, games, performances, outdoor activities, and field trips.
