Paint the Town Patriotic
Celebrate the spirit of our community and the upcoming American 250th anniversary with the "Paint the Town Patriotic" art contest, presented by the Friends of the Morton Museum! We invite residents and students of all ages to showcase their creativity through the theme of "Patriotic Collierville." Whether you specialize in oils and acrylics, mixed media, or are a student artist in grades 1–12, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your vision and compete for cash prizes. Join us in honoring our town’s heritage and vibrant future through art!
Criteria: Entries will be evaluated on how creatively they interpret the "Patriotic Collierville" theme and successfully integrate the American 250th logo. Judges will also look for high-quality artistic craftsmanship and originality, scoring each piece on its ability to offer a unique and polished vision of our community’s heritage.
What is Patriotic Collierville?
"Patriotic Collierville" celebrates the unique intersection of small-town heritage and national pride. It can be represented through iconic local landmarks like the Historic Town Square or the vintage train cars, or by capturing the community spirit found in local parades and neighborhood gatherings. The goal is to show how Collierville’s local history and people contribute to the broader American narrative as the country approaches its 250th anniversary.
