Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
Purpose, Duties, and Authority of Board:
The Board plans and promotes parks, recreation facilities, and programs while assessing community needs and advising public officials. It introduces innovative ideas, upholds high standards in leadership, supports volunteer recruitment, and evaluates program effectiveness. The Board recommends facility and program expansions to the Board of Mayor & Aldermen, develops a long-term recreation plan, and advises on property and facility use. Additionally, it reviews and recommends maintenance and utilization of recreational facilities to ensure quality service for the community.

The Board has nine members, each serving a one-year term ending December 31. Members must be Collierville residents and cannot be Town employees. The Board of Mayor and Alderman have appointment authority.
Schedule:
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 440 W Powell Road.
