Estanaula Trails Homeowners Pleased with Bank Stabilization Project

Post Date:01/28/2022 3:05 PM

A Bank Stabilization Project was completed in Collierville neighborhood, Estanaula Trails, in the fall of 2021. Erosion had caused an unsightly ditch to form in the neighborhood and one resident’s fence was starting to fall into the ditch.

A concrete drain pipe was installed to drain the erosion causing water to its natural inlets and new sod was put down.

The neighborhood’s HOA was so pleased with the final results of the project that their President, Vivian Lamb, emailed Town employees to thank them for their individual contributions to the project. Before and after photos were included in the email that showed the concerning ditch had been replaced by a clean and safe grassy area.

In the email, Ms. Lamb wrote, “The completion of this project has greatly improved the appearance and ambiance of our neighborhood.”

The project involved multiple Town employees over its six month duration.  Ms. Lamb thanked Alderman John Worley for listening to the HOA’s concerns and then bringing those concerns to the Board of Alderman. Mayor Joyner and the Board of Alderman were recognized for approving funding for the project.  Special thanks was given to Town engineer, Dale Perryman for guiding the HOA through the BMA approval process, the Engineering Department for creating the bank stabilization plans and to Town engineer Shane Richardson for leading the project.
