The Morton Museum is back on track for 2022. The center of all things historical in Collierville opens the new year with two exhibitions and two museum-goer's favorite events - Lunch & Learn and Spotlight Saturday. 

Current exhibit through February 26 – Drawings and paintings by local artist Shamek Weddle. Weddle’s subjects include family, still life compositions and landscapes.  

February 10, 12:00 pm - Lunch and Learn will feature Steven Albers and Joe Oliver of the Memphis Railroad & Trolley Museum. They will speak about the history of railroading in the Mid-South and its impact on commerce at a local and national level. This event is free and registration is not required. Beverages will be provided. Attendees are free to bring a sack lunch, if desired.  

February 22 - A new exhibit, Beebe & Clegg: Their Enduring Photographic Legacy, will begin on this date and end on June 1, 2022. The exhibit chronicles the work of Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg, who photographed and wrote about trains and the railway system across the United States. 

February 24, 5:00-7:00 pm - Reception for Beebe & Clegg: Their Enduring Photographic Legacy 

February 26, 10:00 am – Spotlight Saturday - This community event for all ages offers free, hands-on activities celebrating our latest exhibition featuring photographs of trains captured by Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg in the mid-20th century. Beebe and Clegg’s work is best known for using the three-quarters or ‘wedge of pie’ perspective in photography and helped spread an appreciation of railroading to wide popular audiences. No registration is required. 

The Morton Museum is located at 196 N. Main St., and is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday – Friday. Admission is free!
