Collierville Burch Library & Civic Center Groundbreaking Celebration

The Town of Collierville is excited to announce a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion and renovation of the of the Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 12, at 9 a.m. at 501 Poplar View Parkway. The public is welcome to attend, along with elected officials and donors.

The Town of Collierville administration is dedicated to upholding the Collierville Standard—a tradition of excellence in every detail. In keeping with that standard of excellence, the expanded library will result in a welcoming and future-focused space for the community.

It will include:

• 300-person Civic Center with a flexible, modular design that divides into three meeting rooms
• Adult Reading Center and Conservatory for quiet reading and relaxation
• Reimagined Children's Area designed to support early literacy and family engagement
• Modern Teen Space featuring updated technology and flexible seating
• Flexible Community Rooms for workshops, meetings, and small group activities
• Building Upgrades including new HVAC, flooring, furnishings, and other infrastructure improvements

Construction of both the expansion and renovation is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2028.
