Summer 2026 Recreation Programs Now Open!
Post Date:06/01/2026 4:04 PM

Summer is officially here, and the Town of Collierville Parks, Recreation, and Arts Department has a fantastic lineup of activities to keep every member of the family active, engaged, and learning. From perfecting your tennis serve to mastering life-saving skills or enjoying a friendly game of dominoes, our summer programs offer a little something for everyone.

Most of our indoor summer activities take place at the Linda Kerley Center, located at 175 W. Poplar Ave., while our outdoor sports programs will head to the courts at H.W. Cox Park. Space is limited for many of these sessions, so residents are encouraged to explore the schedule and secure their spots early.

Life Skills and Safety Training for Teens and Adults

This summer, local youth can build confidence, earn certifications, and gain valuable life skills through our specialized training workshops at the Linda Kerley Center.

For older teens and community members looking to learn critical lifesaving techniques, the Linda Kerley Center will host an AHA CPR: Adult, Child, Infant certification course on Tuesday, June 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. The registration fee is $70 online, with a $5 book fee due in exact change on the day of the class.

You can review the full schedule and details in CPR Training-June 2026

For middle schoolers ready to step into the world of babysitting, the Safe Sitter Babysitting Essentials Class with CPR is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. The $135 course fee includes American Red Cross Heartsaver and AED training, providing young sitters with the tools they need to handle emergencies with confidence.

More details can be found in Safe Sitter Workshops-July 2026

Line Dance Mini Camp for Teens

If your teenagers (12 - 18) are looking to stay moving and socialize, the Line Dance Mini Camp is the perfect fit. Led by instructor Michelle Sumner, this camp runs on July 13 and July 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Linda Kerley Center Gym. It is a fantastic, high-energy way for beginners and dance lovers alike to get moving and prepare for upcoming school dances.

Our tennis programs at the H.W. Cox Park Tennis Facility, located at 440 W. Powell Road, are back with options for every age and skill level. Led by Coach Tony, these programs focus on stroke development, ball control, and match play concepts.

For seasoned players looking for friendly competition, the Adult Recreation Tennis Leagues run from June 7 through August 3.
