Our Public Services crews have been working around the clock to manage a record-breaking leaf season. While the volume of leaves falling all at once has put us slightly behind our usual schedule, we have a solution to ensure your lawn is clear before Christmas.
Our Holiday Gift to You: The "Bagged" Fast Track
If you bag your leaves and set them out next to your garbage and recycle carts on your regular sanitation day, our crews will make sure they are picked up before December 25th. Think of it as Santa’s express lane for yard waste and it helps our team move faster and ensures your curb is clear for holiday guests.
"We’ve faced some equipment breakdowns, which is expected during such a heavy season, but our Fleet Services team has done an outstanding job with quick repairs to minimize downtime and keep all four leaf trucks operating. Leaf collection is one of our most challenging services to manage during peak demand. Our crews are doing the best they can, and we appreciate your patience as we work to get every street cleared," said Josh Russell, Public Works Director
