Big things are on the horizon for Collierville Fire & Rescue. With the construction of Fire Station 6 well underway and set to open in later this year, the department is growing, and we’re actively looking for more great people to grow with us.

A Fire Station Designed for the Future

Located across from the Collierville High School Athletic Complex at 11670 E. Shelby Drive, Fire Station 6 is designed to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding service area that includes two schools, two churches, multiple parks, residential neighborhoods, major interstates, and businesses. The new station will serve an 8.34-square-mile district with a fluctuating population of nearly 7,000 residents and an estimated 1,000 emergency responses each year.

Fire Station 6 (pictured) was envisioned as part of Collierville Fire & Rescue’s long-range planning to ensure faster response times, expanded EMS coverage, and continued excellence in public safety. With this expansion, the department aims to maintain a rapid response average of five minutes or less—crucial for saving lives and property.

The state-of-the-art, two-story facility will include:

• A three-bay apparatus garage for fire, EMS, and rescue vehicles
• Dorm-style living quarters with 10 rooms
• Training, dispatch, and decontamination areas
• A storm-shelter restroom facility
• A dedicated fitness room and wellness space
• A baby drop safe haven for infants in crisis
  
  

Plus, the station design proudly pays tribute to the Collierville High School Dragons—with the school’s iconic mascot featured in the building and on the department’s ladder truck, honoring our strong connection to the community.

What roles are we hiring for?

Entry-Level Recruits: No certification required. Selected candidates will attend Fire Recruit School beginning Fall 2025.

Certified Professionals: We also hire at higher levels for those with current Firefighter, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certifications. You may qualify for lateral pay based on your training and time in service.

Firefighter Recruit - $48,000 - $69,000
FF/AEMT - $62,000 - $76,000
FF/Paramedic -$73,000 - $82,000
