What's The Job? 

As a Maintenance Worker Senior, you’ll join a skilled crew performing a wide range of manual tasks related to grounds and roadside maintenance. Duties include mowing grass; edging around buildings, roadways, landscaped areas, driveways, and sidewalks; planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flowers; watering landscaped areas; cutting down trees; pruning limbs, hedges, and shrubs; collecting and disposing of brush, tree limbs, and other debris from grounds and right-of-way areas; mulching leaves; spreading pine straw, mulch, sand, gravel, and other materials; laying sod or seeding grass; applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides; spreading salt or sand in icy conditions; raking materials; blowing leaves and debris from walkways and grounds; collecting litter; emptying trash containers; and digging holes or trenches and shoveling materials as needed. 

Minimum Requirements 

Here is what you must have to be considered for the position of Maintenance Worker, Sr.

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • Six months previous experience and/or training involving construction or maintenance work in area of assignment 

  • Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
