What's The Job?
Working as the Digital Media Specialist, you can expect to play a vital role in shaping and sharing the Town of Collierville’s story through engaging digital communications, multimedia content, and strategic marketing initiatives. In this position, you will develop and implement communication plans that support Town-wide programs and departmental initiatives; create compelling content for websites, social media, email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other digital platforms; and ensure all communications reflect the Town’s brand, voice, and accessibility standards. Responsibilities include managing and optimizing website content through content management systems, designing graphics and visual assets, monitoring digital engagement metrics, responding to community interactions, and supporting employee engagement through internal communications. You will also capture professional photography of Town events, projects, and staff; maintain a dynamic digital asset library; lead podcast production, live meeting broadcasts, and other digital programming efforts; and prepare a variety of written materials including press releases, newsletters, flyers, reports, and correspondence. Minimum Requirements
Here is what you must have to be considered for the position of Digital Media Specialist:
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field
•Supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training in strategic communications, digital marketing, social media management, or multimedia storytelling; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
•Valid Driver’s License
