What's The Job?

Working as an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician, this position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment. The role includes troubleshooting motors, generators, lighting, wiring, sensors, meters, and related systems to ensure safe, reliable operation and compliance with permitted treatment standards. The technician maintains maintenance records, supports emergency generators, assists with capital and major maintenance projects, collaborates with design professionals, trains part-time helpers, inspects completed work, and completes required reports, work orders, and documentation supporting plant operations.

Minimum Requirement

Here is what you must have to be considered for the position of Instrumentation/Electrical Technician:

• High school diploma or GED with concentration in a vocational program; supplemented by six (6) years previous experience and/or training involving the operation and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment; or
• any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Must possess and maintain a journeyman electrician’s license within twelve (12) months of hire. Instrumentation and computer programming are highly desired but not required.
